CONFERENCE TOPIC

The most concerning cultural idols are often the ones that go unnoticed—those areas of life where participation is assumed and there is very little discernible difference between followers of Jesus and the rest of society. Among these hidden idols, technology has risen to become one of the most destructive. We do not need to imagine a dystopian future where humans are enslaved to machines; we are living it now. Technological advancement was designed to serve humanity, yet we spend our days in service to the technology of our own making. The negative outcome of this technological bondage is a harmful reordering of our lives, specifically in the areas of human mentality, community, and sexuality.

We are excited to have Rev. Robert Cunningham join us for this crucial discussion where we will explore God's good design for technology, critique our misuse of technology, and practically explore how Christians can navigate the increasingly technological world that is upon us.
