WHAT IS HAPPENING AT MADISON HEIGHTS
Adult Classes After Worship – During the fall, we are going to offer two classes for adults after worship. One will be for all the women in the church and will examine the topic of Women of Faith in Scripture. This will lead up to the Women’s Retreat, which will be focused on the same topic. The other class will be for men and will examine Men of Faith in Scripture. The women’s class will meet in the choral room (first room on the left before entering the auditorium) and the men’s class will meet in the auditorium.
Mercy Ministry Opportunity - Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 13th to help Hope Hollow, a special needs camp in the Madison area, with various construction projects. There is no experience needed, just a willing heart. If you are interested, sign up tables are in the foyer on Sundays or you can contact Nate Bonham at nate@madisonheightschurch.com.
Sunday Evening – Due to conflicts with St. Joseph School, there are no activities Sunday evening, Nov. 7th.
The First MHC Service of Thankfulness – On Sunday evening, November 21st, please make plans to be a part of a wonderful evening of thankfulness and worship. We will gather at 5:30 PM in the cafeteria for a church-wide Thanksgiving dinner and then there will be a special service of thankfulness at 6:15 PM in the auditorium.
The Lord’s Supper – We will celebrate communion next Lord’s Day in worship.
Women’s Ministry -
- Please join us for a ‘come and go’ baby shower on Nov. 18th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm honoring ‘new mom to be’ Beth Chamblee at the home of Peyton Hutchinson (121 Mont Helena, Madison).
- Please join us for the Women’s Bible Study on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at the church office. The morning group is studying the Gospel of Matthew. It meets at 9:30am and is led by Teresa Sones. The evening class is studying Philippians. It meets at 6:00 pm and is led by Nissa Kilman. Childcare is available for both groups. The next class is this Wednesday, November 10th.

Sunday, November 7 – No practice. We will not have access to St Joe that Sunday. A “New Members” class will be meeting at the church office.
Sunday, November 21 – 4:15-5:30 p.m. St Joe (Special church family dinner & Evening of Thankfulness)
Sunday, December 5 – Sunday School hour. Children will meet in their usual Sunday School classes. After a very brief SS lesson (15 mins), first through fourth grades will practice in
the 3rd-4th grade SS room. Emily Kines and I will practice with the 3’s, 4’s & 5’s in the three-year-old SS room. Matt, you and David decide where and when you want to practice with
your boys.
Sunday, December 5 – regular time, after supper
Sunday, December 12 – we will not have access to St Joe at all that day. We can practice at the church office in the afternoon, if it is necessary.
Saturday, December 18 – 10:00 a.m. Dress Rehearsal and Christmas Party at St Joe. We will rehearse first, and party later.
Sunday, December 19 – Sunday School hour. Children will meet in their SS rooms and then go to the auditorium for one last run through. They will then go to their SS rooms.
Sunday, December 19 – Children need to meet in the auditorium thirty minutes before the service.
Youth Ministry - Join us immediately following worship for Sunday School as we work through the book of Judges. Also, we meet every Sunday evening in the Youth Room at the church office on Bozeman Road from 5-7 pm. We have dinner, fellowship, discussion and games. We have just started weekly Bible studies: guys meet the first/third Tuesdays of the month from 6:30-7:30 pm and girls meet the second/fourth Tuesdays from 6-7pm.
